Facts about Botox and how Botox works

Botox Parties

A new craze over in the US has taken over from Tupperware and naughty underwear parties, this is a little different, people are gathering together to relax, unwind have some fun, a little stimulating conversation and Botox injections.

Botox has proved to be very effective in removing facial lines and wrinkles by smoothing the tissues under the skin, and giving a more uniform and younger, tighter look to the face.

Botox treatments have dropped in price considerably over the last couple of years and the competition to supply the demands of potential clients has become much fiercer, with advertisements in glossy magazines or a thirty second spot on the local radio station no longer enough to set clinics and doctors apart from the Botox crowd.

So now some enterprising Botox professionals are attracting new clients by the well tried and tested Avon style parties selling model. One of the main reasons for gathering groups of people together for a glass of wine and a few upper lip injections is the fact that very often a patient only requires a certain amount of Botox injections to complete the work they require.

The problem for the physician is that once it has been opened a vial of the precious liquid will only ”live” for up to four hours, that means in a conventional clinic setting only half or two thirds of the vial may be used.

This increases costs, due to the wastage, so the concept is simple, get a bunch of Botox hungry people together in one place at one time and there will be no waste Botox. This means that it can be sold cheaper and none is thrown away, the clinic wins and the Botox clients defiantly win.

Like Tupperware parties theses twenty first century home selling get-togethers often take place in a persons home, doctors claim the party setting relaxes patients, which is helpful with the injection process.

One drawback is some of these parties are at least a little alcohol driven, which is something that should perhaps be avoided, booze does not mix well with Botox it can cause admittedly not serious side effects but it can give considerable bruising where Botox is administered. Some doctors limit these parties to existing clients only, who are aware of how the procedure works.

It does seem likely that these Botox parties will now be found in most countries as this new party craze begins to spread its wings.
